Solid IO Salt-Brick

I had a rock-hard 1/2 full bucket of IO salt lying around that I was sick of chipping away at, but couldn't make myself throw away. So when I filled my ~80 gallon system I filled the bucket with RODI, and it made a nice ~1.09 concentrated salt solution that I poured off the top, and mixed with RODI water in the tank to make 1.025 water. I kept filling the bucket, and stirring for 10 minutes until all the salt was gone. Worked great. Just thought I'd share that stupid human trick, because I recall a few other folks were complaining about their solid IO bricks.

12 years ago, there was a company that sold liquid salt mix, I think it was Fritz. The salt would be like honey the first time that you used it after opening the tub. The next time it would always be solid in the bottom of the bucket with about two inches of water on the top. It would always go back into solution, but it was easier to use the powder and mix it.
