So after the beach yesterday we got home and I was preparing a WC and my son who had been lathered in sun block for the beach was splashing his hands in the bucket. Should I cut my losses and discard the batch or do you think it will be fine. I'm on the fence because I'm being cheap and I want to do the water change and not waste more time.

Kids are lathered in it at the beach and swim in the water all day you should be fine. J/k yeah dump it not worth the risk IMO

I skimmed the surface for oils and organics before I got the replies. Got a little slick in the skim but nothing that seemed out of ordinary with typical new water. So I used it, seems a OK so far

You ask, every response was to dump it, and you used it anyway? Lol
