Tank cleanup, early spring cleaning

So, still trying to get my tank back to normal.
Started cleaning rocks, cleaned my overflows- much better flow now.
Skimmer is working great, pulled out 1/2g of junk in one week
I have to hookup a powerhead (MJ1200?) and start vacuuming & blowing the rocks clean
Planning another water change
and I'm going to add my 2nd Tunze to increase the water flow
Clwon in the main tank is still hanging in there
Just have to remember better times

Mystery solved I think...I'm an idiot...but I knew that.
I figured out the ONE BAD thing I did different on this water change.
I have been dripping Kalk & mixing up Randy's mixture to bring my CA up. Never a problem but very hartd to bring the CA up to 400, let alone keep it there.
So, on this water change...I figured I would goose the CA up to 400 1st in order to make it easier. Great, but I didn't check the CA in the 50g of water that I used
And I'm prettysure it was WAY higher then 400, either that or I need a new CA test. But I've been using this one right along with consistent results.
I have 125g + 75g + 40g sump. Probably about 200g all told - maybe less - sump is usually 1/2 full

SO, how much CA would have to be in the 50g water to bring it from ~380 to 500+!!??
Can't believe I did this....

No wonder the clam looks good & has a lot of new growth

Now I just need to let it drop down to ~450 & hook the CA reactor up
