via aqua ballast replacement

i'd like to accomplish two things:

1> replace the magnetic ballast in my via aqua ballast boxes with an electronic one.
it powers two 36 watt bulbs

2> buy/make an electronic ballast for a via aqua dual 24 watt fixture (i got a deal on the tank since it didn't have a ballast)

i can't really seem to make heads or tails on the light sites...and i've looked at a ton.
i have no idea what to buy or what will work.
the retrofit systems make sense, but i don't want to do all of those mods (ballast, mount, reflector, whatever)

i don't need the mounts or caps that the lamps plug into...i just need ballast parts. i realize i will probably have to hack up the square plug that via aqua uses.

any pointers/tips would be appreciated.

workhorse ballast should fit in the box. not sure on the 24w fixture... http://www.prolighting.com/woba.html

not sure if any of the local stores carry them. maybe marc on the cape?
