Want to build a refugium

I want to build a refugium for my 90 gallon tank. I was thinking of getting a 20 gallon long and putting two baffels in the tank. I have a skimmer but will probably leave it on the 90 gallon.
How much sand?
Socks or no socks? I was going to probably go without.
Live rock? Use instead of socks?
Good size or go larger?
Please share advice and any DIY tips.

I use a 20L on my 90 I separated it into three sections one for the skimmer the middle for the return pump and the third is my refugium. I use rubble rock and cheato in the refugium and I also have a tee on the return that goes to a media reactor and that is what feeds my refugium.I don't use a sock if you want I can try and take a pic of it lmk.

hi friend yes can y put a picture, am making a sump too but i dont khow how to put a refugion in the sump pls give me a idea and also to what kind the light and things you use to make a refugion ok bye
