Weldon 16 Cure time

I've sometimes only waited a few hours, but I guess it depends on hour thick you put it on, and how important it is that it doesn't spring a leak. I usually only let the 4 dry a short time (an hour maybe) because it seems to set up almost immediately.

Well, from the IPS website,to get 80% STRENGTH Weld-on 16 will take 16 hours. "Joint strength will increase greatly in 24 hours.
Thereafter, strength will continue to increase gradually for some weeks."

here is the PDF date sheet from IPS.

I dont know what are you bonding, but if will hold water, I would wait at list 24 hours, I usually wait 72 hours, but that is just me.

Thanks for the replies. I was just extending a baffle upwards a quarter of an inch. I only waited a few hours and it held just fine.
