where to buy weldon?

What is the name and address of the place where you guys buy weldon near boston?

Also I have never used the stuff before so what is the best one for me to use?
I am gluing 1/8 thick acrylic.
I am pretty capable, so I guess it is really a question of which weld on has a better finished result for this purpose?

Thanks guys! :D

Actually the one I was thinking of was Altec on B street in boston.

I totally forgot about J.freeman in Dorchester.

After all of my searching through posts, I found the info right at the top of the diy supplies sticky at the top of the diy forum.

He he , well aint that funny.
Why not I buy just about everything else on ebay.

Should I get weld-on 3 or 4?

I can also get some nice needle applicator bottles there as well.

Thanks Nick!

3 and 4 are very similar, and IIRC both are perfectly appropriate for most if not all acrylic work.

There are some subtlties that may be worth considering, but I couldn't explain in any detail at all. You might try posting a question in the thread in this link. James (acylics) is a pro and is super good about answering questions.

Got some prices for yall, in case you were thinking of which one to go to.

Altec 1 pint weld-on 4 = 15.95 - applicator bottle = 5.95

J. Freeman 1 pint weld-on 4 = 8.30 - applicator bottle = 2.95

I guess J.Freeman is the better deal, but at half the cost makes me wonder where the strings are.
Does this seam right to those who may have bought at these places?

I'd just guess that altec either gets smaller quantitys at a time, or they just mark it up more.

I've always found altec to be about the same as online sources for acrylic material but I've never compared prices on the slovent.
