Which one to buy?

My tank is 200G, 150G display, and 50G sump. my water volume is 150G. im planning to stock heavy in the future.

Which one should i go with? watching brs video saying too big of a skimmer won't operate properly. So what do you guys recommend?

No first hand experience with either of those, but I will concur that oversizing skimmers typically isn't a good idea, and it's best to go with something rated for about what you have (manufactures vary in terms of how realistic their ratings actually are - but reef Octopus is a solid brand and I'd be relatively comfortable trusting their ratings.) It looks like you have two excellent options picked out, sorry I can't help much with the choice.

Also, definitely agree that a DC / adjustable pump skimmer is well worth it (compared to AC nonadjustable pumps)

On a 175 total water volume, runs great and is definitely a workhorse. I may be upgrading to a Royal Exclusive in the coming months if all goes to plan.

Go with the 200, 150 is too small.

If you have to choose between these two skimmers, I will go with Regal 200 int.

Agree with the regal 200.
You can always tune the skimmer down but you can’t make it work harder.
