wireing question

There is like a putty type substance at the end when you put the wires in and twist the putty seals in and around the wires , a pretty cool design, they are made for underground applications

Best way to do this is to use the wirenuts (Make sure you use the correct size) and then use the silicone to keep the moisture out.

If you are concerned about keeping it neat go with a plastic waterproof box from the HD.

You could also get some of the flexible split loom to put the wires in to keep them neat and clean looking. This also help prevent any type of damage from rubbing or pinching of the wires.

HI
I have been reading this post and just figured i would throw in my two cents the mogul sockets that i am using have spade connections on the socket no wires coming out of them and they seem to work fine running 400 watt bulbs pretty easy to install no wires no wire nuts plug right into the end of the socket
