Diy lighting question

So, I've got nearly everything that I'm going to need to swap my reef from its current 3 gallon tank to my 60. While I'm waiting for my rock to cycle I'm trying to get a plan together for lighting. Here's what I have so far. I currently have 2 par38 36watt oc reef fixtures and a generic 4bulb t5 ho fixture with moonlights. I'm thinking about mounting both par38s in a wooden hood and canabalizing the t5 setup and mounting all four bulbs in the hood with reflectors as well. With a PC fan installed for ventilation and cooling do you think this will work well? Lighting is one of the areas that I really don't know that much about so any and all input will be appreciated.

depending on the fixture you could "split" it, just don't modify the reflectors, they are quite a precise piece and getting the right spread will not be very easy if you modify them.
