Alien Invasion??

I woke up to this yesterday morning. It's on my front glass. Does anyone know what it is??

Those are snail eggs.

I THOUGHT that's what they might be, but I wasn't sure. I also have some that are more round and solid on the back glass - are those snail eggs too? WOW - that's a lot of eggs! Do you think they'll get eaten by the fish before they can hatch?

I find tiny snails all the time now. I don't think I have any fish who eat the eggs off of the glass, but there is no way that more than 1 out of 500 eggs survives to snailhood. That still leves me with tons of them. If they all hatched and survived I wouldn't have room for water.
