dipping new coral additions

just wondering what everybody uses to dip their new corals before putting them in the display/qt

i used to use iodine and fresh water for zoas, but never dealt with sps too much and i know fw can be risky on sps. i'm debating between revive, coral rx, and bayer insect killer, and would obviously like the most effective one against a wide variety of pests. what do you guys use?

thanks for the input

I use betadine and interceptor. The three you listed may take care of AEFW but not sure any of them will kill red bugs. Then I just make sure no plugs or rock goes into my tank. If the frags are mounted, I cut them off to ensure there are no eggs.

so iodine even for the sps and lps?

i've heard conflicting reports about whether those other dips will work on red bugs. julian sprung says revive will work if dipping for at least 10 min, but of course he would say that cuz it's his dip lol

that's good advice about remounting frags, thanks

I usually dip them at least 6 hrs
10 minutes is nothing
interceptor is typically a 6 hour dip, but many of these others that are being mentioned are much less. I know for iodine, I do 20-30 minutes max.
