Green Alge Battle!

clamm

Nothing to nobody
guys, I have noticed that my tank is getting a greenish tint to the water, futher investigation found green alge forming around the rocks and on the side of the glass. What do you think? What are effective ways to battle this monster.

This is probably a somewhat new tank, right? If so, this is a normal phase, gradually the tank will stabilize and the green algae will be "replaced" with pink coraline.

best think you can do is to add a good number of snails and let it run its course.

Carbon will help take that green tinge to the water out - but you should start looking
at the source of the problem.

Have you been overfeeding lately or lax in performing scheduled water changes ?

Skimmer Is Fine But I Was On Vacation And Set An Auto Feeder Up. Perhaps It Fed More Then Needed. Ill Start There And Up The Water Changes. How Do I Get It Off The Rocks, Just Suck It Off With Something?

That's where the snails Armando suggested come into play. If you get the
source of the algae resolved, over time the algae will die back/disappear.
