Hydor Koralia Question

I've only had my koralia powerhead for about 3 months and it just burned out today. As far as I can tell it's cooked. Nothing is jamming the propeller and when I took it out of the water to inspect it it made no motor sound and gave me a mild shock. Anyone else experience such a short life with their koralias?

Was it a 2 or a 3? There is a recall on those 2.

There was also a recall on #3. I got shocked real bad but I have not had any issues thus far with the #4.

It was a #2 but I heard the recall was only from some distributors. Also I have another #2 purchased the same time from the same dealer and no problems so far (knocking on wood now).

One of the #3's I purchased in February just stopped working too. I found that the prop spun it self forward. Looks like the cement they used to attach the prop failed.

Yeah, there is a recall on all 2 and 3's. Give Hydor a call and they should replace it for you.
