I thought for sure I had talked to someone about this at one point or another, but I must be getting senile... can't find the thread anywhere.

Is there such thing as a submersible pump that's pressure rated? I need one to run my ETSS 800, and the design of my sump is not conducive to an external pump.

Any thoughts are appreciated! :)

None that I'm aware of.

That said, "pressure rated" isn't a term that is used consistently or that has a universal definition. Any pump will run under pressure, it's just a question of how it actually performs and at what amount of head/back pressure it will cut out and stop moving water. Regardless, I don't think you can get away from a beefy external pump to properly drive an ETSS skimmer.

For your sump design, could you have the pump placed externally at a right angle so it's parallel to the end of the sump? It's not ideal to have an elbow on the intake of a pump, but I've done it with Iwaki 55 and 70 "pressure" pumps and had no issues with cavitation or premature wear.
