It seems like the issue is 50/50 between yes and no.

I tend to agree with the "NO" side. Only because it has worked for me in the past.

I think it may help the clam get established and settled in faster. After it is attached to a rock and getting proper lighting feeding it is not doing very much to benefit its health.

I have actually read that spot feeding can be detrimental as the food supplies we use are too large and can obstruct or irritate the gills.
