Penductor/return Pump

Alright I have a penductor. Till I can get my Iwaki return pump can I run the penductor with a mag 9.5? Or am I just going to ruin the shaft on the mag? Also what is the difference between the Japanese made Iwaki's vs. the American made Iwaki's, other than the large difference in price. Any other suggested return pumps? I need 600-800 gph to return....

If the Mag 9.5 can generate the required flow rate at the resulting pressure head, then it will be okay.

If you can not do a calculation, simply connect the Mag 9.5. If it generates low to no flow, then it simply is insufficient. Running a magnetic drive pump for a few minutes at or near shut-off head, while not technically good for the pump, shouldn't do any damage either.
