Peristaltic pump problems!

So all the sudden my peristaltic pump will randomly switch rotation direction while it is topping off. It was working fine for a while and I had to change the outflow tubing; it was getting clogged up. Now when it is rotating the correct direction, the flow is good but the rotating wheel suddenly stops and then starts turning the other way. Sometimes the wheel will even start off spinning the wrong way.
Do we think the pump is going bad or maybe I used to restrictive of a outlet tubing, causing the pump to stop and switch directions.

Is it a brs pump or some other kind? Is this a known problem with that kind? Try googleing it and i would try emailing or calling the company and asking
