The past 3-4 months I have noticed what in thought was new growth on my rainbow milli. However it would randomly catch algae. No problem right a light cleaning with a quick blast of water and it was gone...only to show up again. So I would clean it again. Upon closer looking I see 2 antenna sticking out of the "new growth" area. Got the cutters out and began the trimming process. Then was what looked like something was boring into it skeleton Brownish in color. Managed to get it all out I hope.

What is it and is it dangerous? Has anyone ever had experience with somethings like this before?

Pics aren't the best but hope it is enough to ID it.

Sounds like a vermitid snail, they put out a web to catch algae/food. I can’t tell from your pic though. It’s not “dangerous” but it will irritate corals. If it is a vermitid you can fill there tube with glue to kill it
