Hello I have a 14 gallon bio cube and I picked up the red sea hydrometer and I need some help reading it. When i check it its at 1.025. Temp is about 77. I have live sand and live rock in there with two snails. Im seeing online that a live rock and fish only setup should be 1.018 to 1.020. Do I have to much salt in the tank or not enough? I guess I just need some direction because im so very new to salt.

first of all...that red sea hydrometer should be retired..Hydrometers are not accurate.. get yourself a refractometer...they are cheap enough on ebay....But to answer your question....1.025 is higher than the range you desire so to lower it you need to replace some of the water with fresh ro/di...

okay so i took out about 3 cups of fresh water and replaced it with fresh and it went down to 1.021 to 1.022
