My tank is about 4 1/2 years old now and I’m not sure if the substrate is still as nutrient rich as it was at one point because my plants aren’t growing nearly as fast as they once did regardless of experimenting with different light parameters I don’t dose anything as of this point CO2 or any of the popular brand additives like Flourish etc. i’d like to try avoid replacing the substrate because that seems like it would be a pain. There’s only one guy that’s really knowledgeable in the Petco’s and Petsmart in my area it’s just hard to really kind of drive around and find out where he’s working and when any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I’ve seen a lot of nice live planted tanks on here.
