stupid question regarding wet/dry

Hi:

Please forgive my stupid question:

This is my first wet/dry filter. (I used to powerfilters and canister)
Is it normal that the water level is 1/3 of inch higher than the opening of the overflow box? or my Rio 2100 pump is pumping too much?

do you have the rio pumping back all the way .. I run that same pump and sometimes i need to adjust my return

The rio is wide open. I try to adjust the return but the high water pressure pop the valve.

so is the overflow totaly under water?

i think those overflows are adjustable so you can just move the overflow box up a little until the teeth are out of the water.
