Tank building...

For all the Boston Reefers who have built their own tanks I have a few questions. We are thinking about building our next reef tank, unfortunately it won't be in the budget for a very lone time. Still it is fun to plan things out.

We are thinking about 30L x 16H x 16L. We want to go with glass because we do not like the idea of the easier to scratch acrylic.

So the questions are...
-What do you think of the dimensions? (I already know its small, but it will be way bigger then our 10G) Feel free to suggest changes in length, width and/or height as long as the suggested changes stay close to 30G

-Thoughts about overflows....corner overflows...center...what do you like and why?

-What thickness of glass should be used? 3/8 inch glass was my guess. I emailed a few custom tank builders to get quotes for how much a tank like this would cost and quickly decided building would have to be way cheaper. One said they would use 12mm glass, which is almost 1/2 inch.

Any and all recommendations will be greatly appreciated
Might see a build thread this fall:)

Thanks
Barry
