Where to find a large Plastic Barrel

I am in the process of upgrading my tank system. I'm going from 20g to a little over 70 gallons. I am in need of one of those large heavy duty plastic barrels that hold 50+ gallons. I need to make one big batch of water.

Does anyone know where I can get one of these?

Thanks :)

Up here we have a home brew place called INCREDIBREW, I use to get my barrels free of charge there.Maybe there is one in your neck of the woods?

Home Depot has "Big Brute" barrels that are 30g. May have bigger. Have had mine 4yrs and indestructable.

spend the extra money for the industrial strengh. I got one that i thought was strong enough, but the water started leaking at the seams. +1 on the rubbermaid commericial brute.

Matt theres a place near CRA called seekonk supply, they seel all sorts of stuff like barrels and water holding containers, Jeremy told me about it before, i never actually made it there though.
Those Brute trash barrels seem to be the cheaper way to go though.

You may want to check out if your town has a conservation program setup. Mine does and gives a rebate with the 'Great American Rain Barrel'.

Rain Barrels Rain barrels, when connected to gutter downspouts, collect roof runoff for use in gardens and other outdoor watering needs. Residents purchasing and installing a Great American Rain Barrel are eligible to receive a rebate of $25.

if you need it only for this, I can lend you a 55 Gallon food grade barrel, or you can buy one going up for sale at the auction.....

Great info! Will look into it as well.

The Brutes work good, but there is nothing like the security of the 55gal ones. they are thick walled, and are never going to split. Not that the Brutes would split, but I never looked at the 55, and thought, is this thing going to let loose in the LR??? For $20 they are cheaper than Brutes
