The routed out port for the RKL is absolutely one of the most ingenious designs I have seen in the DIY area in ages! I love it! Your build is very similar to the one I will be doing next month:

40 breeder (36x18x16 like yours IIRC) rimless starfire (3 sides)
Gl**************s 700gph overflow with 3/8 return powered by a Sicce Synchra 2.0
36x18x30 solid oak stand with pop-off door in black with walnut stained door and truck bed spray liner on the inside of the entire stand.
15 or 20g sump (haven't figured that out yet)
Eheim Jager 150w heater (x2)
Reef Octopus Skimmer (rated 100g)
Vortech MP10wES (maybe x2)
120w ReefBreeders LED CREE Fixture
Reef Keeper Lite
Fan
Small Chiller

AWESOME! After breaking down my 40B cause of the move and never really getting the OPEN theme i was after, i may just do what you did with the 57 rimless. Such a clean setup! Future TOTM for sure. I'm guessing no run of the mill rock wall either.
