coral feeding question

Probably a dumb question but when you have a multi headed coral like Hammer or Duncan does each head feed independently or do they all benefit from the one head feeding?

I ask and probably am answering my own question but I have a couple Corals in QT and doing the normal baby brine or zooplankton every couple of days but had a piece of larger food left from feeding the DT and placed it in one of the Duncan heads, it immediately closed in on the food, which was pretty cool but when I walked by 20 minutes later that one head was like on a giraffe neck it was stuck out so far and maybe twice the size compared to the other two heads and got me to thinking, should I be trying to target treat all the heads or rotate to different heads when I am feeding larger pieces or does the one benefit all eventually.
Obviously can't feed too much in QT but good to know for the DT.
