Derasa Clams - Local?

Sheesh that’s tough. Derasas are generally pretty easy but in my experience, you need to start with something that’s at least 4 inches.t That way it has enough surface area in its mantle to photosynthesize. Smaller ones rely more on filter feeding which is hard in our tanks because it’s usually pretty clean.

I know this trend is old but I had purchased a Crocea clam from biota back in February of 2023 and it is still going strong. It arrived on the small side but it has been growing. Looks like they sell derasa aswell.
