I was wondering of anyone had any advice on drilling acrylic I have to install my aquaC 180 outside my sump and need to drill a 1" hole I have looked online but everyone has different advice I was wondering if I could get some solid experienced advice from someone. thanks mason

sorry and its a 1" bulk head but need to drill a 1 3/4" hole and the acrylic is pretty thin.

start with a smaller drill bit and work your way up. When you get to the final size(last drill bit or second to last) drill into the acrylic in reverse. Just go slow with even pressure and make sure you have a block of wood underneath so you can continue drilling into the peace of wood.

Use a hole saw not a bit.Go slow so things don't heat up and melt,I use a spray bottle for cooling/lubing.You'll have more control going slow try not to jog the drill, that's good advice from picasso on the wood block.Drill part way through then finish drilling from the other side less chance of chipping that way..
