I got him!!!!

after 2 months of chasing i got the mantis out.
looking at tank with magnifing glass and he stuck his head out of a removable rock. didn't like fresh water dip at all. he is in my qt tank with a small piece of rock. he's about 2.5 inches long. what should i do with him?

if you have a small tank set up a mantis condo, those things are REALLY cool to watch

I think it would be pretty cool to set up a nano tank and have that be its only inhabitant. You could use a five gallon tank. They are quite interesting

I just know he isn't staing in 20 gal qt.

sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but would i need a filter,heater ect. on a 5 gal mantis tank?

Yes, just a cheap hang on filter, maybe a power head, a heater (other than glass) and a light.

thanks. at least i had qt up and cycled. Just added the fire fish that was in there to my tank last night.
