Just picked up a 125g today

I am just learning salt water but for freshwater I use the black totes from sams club/home depot/lowes/etc. They are cheapest at Sams, a 40 gallon is $15. I have filled them but prefer 2/3 full, the bow out a bit but hold well. I used a 27 for a temporary freshwater sump and never replaced it because it is working well for last 18 months and only cost $7. Again, need help onowing if safe for saltwater but I would think just as safe as kiddie pool and you can use it after to store supplies.
That’s actually what I used it was a 55gallon tote from Home Depot I put a ratchet strap around it for extra support as it started to bow but worked perfectly

Painted and labeled the control panel today

Noticed today that my copepod population has exploded they are all over my glass Which is good I was thinking about adding more for my mandarin because I didn’t know how the tank move had affected them kinda hard to see but here is a pic

So I have never ran a tank with filter socks so I figured why not try it on this tank...... what a pain they clog up so quick I’m changing them out every few days not really into changing and cleaning them so I built a acrylic media rack so I can just use filter floss and Throw it away. I might use some marine pure bio balls in the bottom rack. Just need to wait for it to cure for 72 hours now and I will post a pic with it in the sump

Looks like you spent some time standing at the drill press. Whadja use for a bit? Also did you bond that with superglue? If so, how'd it work?

I actually used a step drill bit in my cordless drill you can’t just drill a big hole in acrylic it will crack and I used Weldon acrylic cement to bond it all together
