New growth?

If you zoom in on this frogspawn I have, there are what looks like little buds on a lot of the branches midway down each branch. Is this new growth? Lights just went out so its the only time I can get a look at its structure. When fully open its just a big round cantaloupe sized ball.

Nice. My hammer has similar growths. Like cute little mini-heads. I'm just curious how they will fit into the existing heads. like yours, there doesn't appear to be a lot of room between the mature heads.

When I had hammers, those little growths stayed little. The hammer was growing cleaving the existed branches.
