Hi all, I know there are a couple other RO threads out there but did not want to hijack them.
I have an Air Water Ice 5 stage RO unit. I have never had great pressure on it. The guage on the unit usually measures 40 PSI and I get an output of about 3 hours for 5 gallons. Lately the pressure has dropped to 30 to 35 psi.
All cartridges including RO and DI were changed about 6 to 8 mths ago.
Just changed sediment ( 1 micron) and carbon (5 micron) and pressure did not increase.
I dont mind changing cartridges if that is what is needed but would like to figure out which one(s) should be changed, as the ro and di are expensive and not that old
The house itself seems to have decent pressure, more than 40 psi but I have never checked it outside the unit.
The pressure gauge is inline and seems to be installed in the waste water output line from the RO (there is another line that goes to the DI)
Any ideas? I know there are booster pumps but they are costly as well.
I wish I went to that RO "seminar \ discussion " at one of the fish stores a while back.
