Stainless Steel Solenoid Valve?

Anyone know if I can use a stainless steel solnoid valve to shut down flow in my Tank. Worried about the material?

I've never seen metal pipe in a reef tank, and 'stainless steel' is high nickel steel, and may rust anyway, and may also bleed nickel and or chromium into your reef.

I would think bad idea, but some of the senior chemists here will hopefully weigh in.
