LEDs have been around for a while now. Do any of these companies have 2-3 tanks set up with different types of lighting to compare? - if your product is so good, wouldn't that be the best way to sell it?

companies are not going to spend 1-2 years running a tank and do the comparison.
they want you to do the testing for them. As long that their looks good, gives good par and good spectrum, that is good for them.
After a while if they see some negative reviews about their light, they will make a small change and release a new version. this will keep going going just like Apples Iphones
They are in the market to make money and to compete with so many others.
