yeah it does seem they charge $140 for the probes

I will stick with my 9.99 ebay ph probes thanks,plenty accurate enough for a reef aquaria.

I've read about issues with ph probes... and not just with Neptune. PM coming.

i have used neptune probes side by side with cheapos and never saw a difference.
Even Curt from neptune will tell you they are not neccessary.
ORP may be a different story,every single ORP probe i have used be it cheap or not gave me way different readings.
I won't be using the ORP function on the ACIII

I've been debating whether or not to bother with the ORP probe. It's nice to have and all, but I won't need one anytime soon if ever. I doubt I'll use Ozone. Plus I'd like to use that port for another ph probe to monitor the JS1.

BTW, I bought a barely used JS1 that broke in shipping. I'm not sure if it was the one you pointed out to me. Thanks again BTW. Fedex picked it up yesterday for inspection. The outlet of the acrylic top to the media chamber broke. I was told a replacement will be expensive and really tough to get. A brand new reactor would be nice.
