Black Tang?

Has anyone had one? I saw one this weekend at a local store, and WOW what a pretty fish!

Big $, wondering how hardy it is, and if it will co-exist with a yellow tang.

IIRC they are closely related to yellows and have basically the same body shape, so I would be concerned about putting them together.

I may be wrong, but I could swear that I remember about 15 yrs ago them being common in the trade and not much more expensive than yellows??

The LFS is consigning it, and they want an absurd amount for it...but what a pretty fishy.

I had one for about a year till it outgrew my tank and had to move apartments, to my knowledge it is still kickin' around. Mine was a pig and would eat all day and anything I put in.
I got mine from skiptons right off the plane and for a great deal!
I hear the one they have is smaller and a steal as well.
