Is it ok to cut the fleshy part of the branch, or can you only cut the hard skeleton? I seem to have forgotten the verdict...

Best to not damage the tissue, but I've damaged my share of tissue with similar Euphyllia genus corals without major problems. % success is reduced the more damage you do.

is that rule pretty true for fragging about anything, try to avoid the tissue. I heard from another member if you mess up and hit the tissue it can be ok but its best to let it heal in the same tank water you took it from.
