hi ,i am about to treat my tank with chemiclean and have removed my carbon, going to turn off the skimmer and inside the package is a little leaflet that says to also remove any phosphate removal media.it says nothing about turning off my calcium reactor, does anyone know for sure whether i should leave it running or shut the calcium reactor down while treating with chemiclean--thanks

The reason you have to shut the skimmer off is because it foams like crazy.
Not sure about a calcium reactor.I plan to do a treatment myself soon.
Just upgraded my skimmer and want to reboot the sytem.

Keep in mind that you still need good aeration.
I usually just remove my skimmer cup and keep it running.
Or use an air stone,or a MJ1200 with a venturi hose.
Good luck.
